Project Management

Projects are only available for Business and Enterprise accounts.

Common project management tasks are straightforward to achieve from the StatusCloud console, and only take a few moments.

In this example, we will start by creating a new project. Then, we will add team members and transfer existing resources to it.

This guide assumes that you are already a StatusCloud user - if not, you should complete these steps before continuing.

Creating the project

  1. First, log in to your StatusCloud console.
  2. Go to the Projects page, then click on Create a new project (under the My Projects subheading).
  3. Enter the name of the project (for example, StatusCloud) in the first textbox, and optionally add a description in the box below.
  4. Choose a Theme for the project. This determines what color is displayed in various places within the console, but has no other effect.
  5. Next, set the appropriate Privacy level. If you don't mind other account members seeing the project, leave it as Open.
  6. Finally, click on Save and wait for your project to be created.

Adding team members

For this section, you must have already added another user (or users) to your account - if not, you should complete these steps before continuing.

  1. Go to the Projects page, and click on the project you wish to modify.
  2. Look for the Members section, and click the button with a picture of a person with a plus symbol. It should be on the top right of the panel.
  3. In the Add Members from that opens, search for the name or email address of the user you wish to add.
  4. Directly below the search box, find the correct individual and click on that option.
  5. You can repeat steps 3 and 4 to select more users to add.
  6. Choose the relevant Role for the new member (or members) to have.
  7. Finally, click on Save and the users will be added to the project.

Transferring resources

This part of the guide uses a monitor, as can be created in this tutorial. You can use any resource, but may need to adjust the steps as appropriate.

  1. Go to the Monitors page and select the one you wish to transfer.
  2. On the monitor dashboard, click the Settings button.
  3. From the settings page, locate the Project panel, between Rename and Delete.
  4. Select the project you wish to transfer the monitor to.
  5. Finally, click on Save and the monitor will be transferred to that project.
